Help

This page is under development, not all of it is complete.

A Human Sim is a psychology game. There is no set path, but there are many ways of suceeding in the game.

This help page won't teach you how to beat the game - there are many ways of beating the game, and these are mostly based on risks, luck or perseverance. In fact, this guide will only teach you how to play the game and enjoy it.

Avatar Basics

Your avatar has several statistics. You need to keep these statistics high and dry to make sure your avatar lives well (excluding hunger; this should be kept as low as possible). You'll also need to balance your money well to ensure your avatar can get items when they need them. You start off with a low amount of money making the game very hard to start off with, but by getting a job and investing in the stock market you can increase your money, skills and stats. Skills are very valuable in the job market; with better skills, you can get a better job.

Balance these statistics and you will have mastered part of the game.

Your Home

Your Home is the place where all your items are stored. By default, you can only store one item, and you should upgrade your home to one which can store more items. The more expensive homes can store more items.

Using an item will mean you benefit from the item. You need to use an item to gain skills and statistics. Some items may do the opposite, for example, an unhealthy burger will pull your health down. So you should always watch out for what an item does - it may not say it on the packet.

Selling items is also possible. By doing this you typically recieve about 95% of the item's price when sold with no uses missing, but it depends on the uses left (a pizza with 3 slices left isn't very useful to a retailer now, is it?)

User CP

From the User CP you can control your avatar and your account. So far, it isn't very advanced but later more features will be introduced. The main reason for using the User CP is the clothing and avatar generation feature.

Alerts

Alerts is a feature which will alert you to important things in the game. If your password is changed then you will recieve an alert, for example. Alerts are given a category of 1 to 5. If they are rated as important, then they show up on the sidebar in yellow.

Jobs

Undoubtedly one of the most important features, Jobs, offers a way for your avatar to earn money through the process of gaining skills and advancing up a career. By default, you have the careers listed with only one job available; the first job in the career. As you gain skills, promotions become available, which mean more money, and more skills earned in the job - but the distances between the promotions increase, meaning you must try harder to increase your skills. There is also a slight risk factor involved with jobs, so you should make sure your avatar doesn't get injured.

City

Another important feature - the City - brings a compact method of listing the extra features in the game, normally not shown on the sidebar. Here you can find extra features such as marriage, the stock market, the bank and more, as well as the stores, which is where you buy items.

Mailbox

The mailbox is a simple messaging page. In fact, it's actually not that simple; it supports BB code, multiple receipients (up to 5), has 4 folders, a friends list and more. This is fairly simple and shouldn't require explaination. If you do need help, post on the forums and someone will be happy to explain about it.

Forum

The forum is the community of AHS - wherein you can ask questions, show off your avatar, and more. Here you can also use BB code and the forum has nice features such as easy quoting and more. Again, this shouldn't need explaination, as it's been designed to be extremely simple from the get-go.
